APPEA CEO forum – facilitating a forum for chief executives of Australian oil and gas companies to explore strategic issues and priorities for the Australian oil and gas sector.


APPEA Environment Workshops – designing and facilitating two two-day national stakeholder forums for the Australian Petroleum Production and Exploration Association and external stakeholders from government and non-government sectors.


Mining Certification Evaluation Project Working Group – facilitating a working group comprising representatives of major mining companies, non-government organisations and government undertaking a three-year research project to develop principles, criteria and performance standards for certifying well managed mine sites. The MCEP process has now become part of the international Initiative for Responsible Mining Assurance.


Australian National University Roundtable on Sustainable Forest Management – designing and facilitating a round table involving forest industry stakeholders and international experts to explore opportunities for alternative harvesting and management practices in Victoria’s Mountain Ash forests.


Forest Stewardship Council National Initiative – designing and facilitating a two-day national forum for a diverse group of 100 participants to discuss whether to proceed with a FSC National Initiative in Australia. Information on FSC certification in Australia can be found here.


Casey-Cardinia and Wyndham Committees for Smart Growth – chairing two government-appointed multi-stakeholder committees developing 30-year growth area plans for Melbourne’s Casey-Cardinia and Wyndham growth corridors. Mansfield Streetscape Plan – facilitating a town meeting to resolve an outstanding dispute over the design of a new streetscape for Mansfield township.


Minerals Council of Australia: Sustainable Development Workshops – facilitating 12 workshops to secure stakeholder input for developing “Enduring Value”, a new sustainable development operational code for the Australian mining industry. Click here to link to the Enduring Value website.


Nirranda South Wind Farm – facilitating a public meeting to obtain input for a proposal by Meridian Energy to build a wind farm at Nirranda in southwest Victoria.


National Oceans Office Oceans Policy Workshop – facilitating a workshop for the National Oceans Office to set priorities for oceans biodiversity policy and programs.


Ok Tedi Mine Acid Rock Drainage Workshop – facilitating a two-day workshop involving international leaders in hydrology and geochemistry to review and refine the mine’s ARD management program.


Plastics and Chemicals Industries Association – facilitating a program of workshops in Australian capital cities for developing a Sustainability Leadership Framework for the sector and developing and delivering training workshops for PACIA members to support their implementation of the Framework. Regional Agencies Forum – designing and facilitating a forum for senior executives of Victorian Government and local government agencies which was held in association with a sitting of Community Cabinet.


Wombat Community Forestry Project – facilitating the ultimate community forum to decide whether to proceed with community-based forest management for the Wombat State Forest. The decision was to proceed with a Wombat Forest Community Forest Management trial.
